How much play on timing chain?

    I seem to have done the timing correctly on my engine; the dots line up, top dead center, and the tensioner is installed. The timing chain just seems a tad bit tight. I turned the engine over a few times by hand and everything was smooth.

    It is tensioned by the automatic tensioner; yes it seems tight when turning it by hand; but at 9K RPM it will develop an appropriate amount of slack.
