Anyone knows how to remove a starter off 83 Maxim? I can see 2 bolts on the left side and 1 (possibly 2) bolts going across the length of the starter and I also can see some bolts on the right side but I'm not sure if they go into the starter.

What needs to be removed from the bike before removing the starter?
Where is the positive power cable attached to the starter? I can see the negative at the left side but where is positive?

    Step 1
Remove the 2 bolts holding it down on the left side of the bike. One bolt is longer then the other.

    Step 2
Remove the hose that may be in the way to undo the bolt holding the electrical cable and pull the starter back wiggling it a bit.

That’s it, the entire process takes about 10min. No other components need to be taken off the bike to remove the starter.
