I need new tires for my 1981 XJ 750 Seca II.
Motorcycle will be used mainly on paved roads with a 25% of the time on unpaved roads.
Tires will be bought in the USA.
Would like to have an informed opinion.
    TIA

I have used (and quite like) Kenda K761 tires on both gravel and shallow sand. The only downside is that they are not quite as grippy as I'd like on the street, but the hardness does give them a long life and the edges of the siping stays sharp throughout the life of the tire.

Thank you for your advice. I will put the Kenda on my "to watch" list.
Are they the same for front and rear?

The Kendas come as a front or as a rear. It's not a universal fit. You'll be running different sizes on each end anyway, so having a universal fit tire won't do you any good unless you run a non-stock front wheel.
