I need to replace the grips on my Turbo. Anything I should look out for? Are 'universal' grips truly universal? Do I need to get a pair that are a specific size?

Anyone recommend and grips in particular?

    Thanks,

    Greg

I'm pretty sure any set of grips for 7/8 bars will work, they all just pretty much slide on

Find a set you like, and get them for 7/8" bars.

Getting the old ones off will probably be the hardest part.

On mine when I had to remove the original stock grips, the throttle side pulled off with enough pressure and the help of 2 screwdrivers for some leverage.

The other side however, I ended up having to cut off -- wouldn't move for nothing.

Since then, the two sets I've been through have been great, and no issues getting off or on.

Recommendations are tough - it's really a personal thing for looks and feel. I like simple, large diameter grips.
I've done the foam grips, which weren't bad.
Currently I've got these and am REALLY liking them:

    I use progrips, SuperBK grips.

You can get them at any motorcycle parts shop / dealer. Seem pretty good. More agressive for the style of bar I have on my seca.
