You guys are making me jealous.

Back in the early eighties a friend had a '77 400, the orange color, and I loved swapping rides with him. I had my XS 400 at the time and the power and power characteristics between the two bike was amazing. It's too bad he crashed it. Such a shame. :(

    If it don't smoke, it's broke. :D

Such a beauty. So boxy, yet so sleek.

ken007 bike turned out great. I would like to pick up a water cooled one but here in the states they are just 2 darn expensive. You can pick a well wore out junker for about 3k nice one about 5k. For that kind of money i could buy a very nice big bike. Altho i have been reading on how to swap out water cooled top ends on the old air cooled bikes. Big advantage you can make a water cooled one make serious power without melting. I have read stroker 350 lc like you have making 120 hp in race form

We've got two Daytona Specials at the shop I work at, one in pristine condition, one highly weathered by still complete. That pristine one is quite a looker. Haven't gotten to ride it yet.

If you get the chance fintip don't turn it down. You'll find the powerband a bit different than you might be use to. You might even snub the motor on you first attempt. :)
