After much tinkering with the Seca and trying out different jet combinations, what worked best was to just stick with a 112 main, stock (40) idle, and put the factory needles back in. I kept trying different mains with the Dynojet needles and no matter what size I tried, I got a huge flat spot from 1-2k. Now that the factory needles are back in, it's smooth as silk through the whole range.

Dynojet kits really are pretty worthless. This is what everyone kept trying to tell me, but I bought one anyway and after all that tinkering all I ended up with was mains two sizes larger - just what everyone had recommended to begin with. Live and learn, I guess, but I spent a little over a hundred bucks on that kit when I could have spent half that just buying some jets by themselves. I guess they are trying to provide the widest range of compatibility with the kit, but just in case there's somebody else out there thinking about jetting, just listen to the wisdom of those who have gone before you. Your wallet will thank you. :)

the dyno jet setups really are meant and should be used with modified setups for stock or near stock motors I also have had no luck. Now with some mods they have been usefull in the past. Of course we have only used them for racing type applications where the motors are 3/4 to WOT short bursts or drags.

Yeah, it pulled harder at WOT and the top range, but it wasn't worth the sacrifice of losing the lower end for daily driving. They mean it when they say they're for racing only.
