I had my cylinders re-honed & checked for out of round.

How can I be certain of which sized rings I have? There are no sizes stamped on the rings. The only stamp on the rings is "RN". The book says that the expander spacer is painted with a mark that is color coded to the size of the rings. I can see no painted marks so I'm not sure.

So you suspect they are not correct for your bore size.......or? Anyway I would contact Chacal, He is usually knowledgeable on these things.

Put the ring in the bore and measure the ring gap, If it is in spec then the size has to be right. (diameter that is)

Right, I wasn't certain if anyone has been in here before me. If they are oversize or anything. Don't want to order the wrong rings. Didn't want to just assume they are original.

darkfibre- So, measure the cylinder bore (see if it is in spec) then check my ring end gap for spec. That should tell me whether it is oversize any or not.

    thanks
