I connect the appropriate wires and took her for a spin around the block. I'm now working on my punch list
#1 the wires and the ignition switch.
Although I hot wired it, I don't plan on leaving her that way. I tested the four wires coming out of the switch and got some funny readings. I had continuity between 2 wires when it was off. The test says the switch is bad so I figured I would replace it but its rather expensive and I would have to rekey the gas cap. I am considering toggle switches. 2 of them hidden under the dash and using the key only for the steering lock.

What do you think? And do I have to worry about the toggle switch carrying such a small load? Any advice would be nice seeing as how I haven't had any luck on the Aprilia forum.
And if I do decide to replace the lock how do I deal with the shear rivet? Drill it out, tap it for a bolt?
