I posted a while back that my Seca had no spark after a prolonged period of storage. I inspected all the wiring and ignition components and found no glaring issues.

I purchased an ignitor module on fleabay at a good price, installed it and she fired right up. Well, she fired up with a jump as the battery was completely discharged. I putted around the block a few times and ran out of petrol!

After filling the tank I started her up again and she would idle for a few seconds and then cut out. This happened 2 or 3 times and then no spark at all again. All this was using a spare utility battery.

I disconnected and re-connected both the plugs on the "new" ignitor and she started right up. I took a 20 minute ride and everything looks good again.

Is this something that anyone else has seen? Could it just be corrosion on the spade connectors? I hosed them out with contact cleaner but that stuff doesn't do much for corrosion.

Expose clean metal using some type of abrasive-sand paper, a file, etc. then smear with di-electric grease and you will have solid conductivity.
