Well, I used to be on this site quite regularly until I let my '81 XJ659 go to a new home....oh about a year and a half ago, maybe?

Today I brought home a stock 1982 XJ650 with 7700 original miles and a clean title....even inspected until April 2011. It needs some TLC and the carbs need attention. I bought it from a college student that rode it all summer, then had an issue with "oil" coming out of the "oil tank". Appears that the crankcase filled with gas.

Also needs a seat cover, the paint job is so so (may clean up) and there's some rusted bits here and there. Rear tire has a lot of life left, front tire is like new. All the guages, lights, signals, controls, mirrors, etc. are original and in great shape (a teeny bit of road rash on the tach). Foot pegs are all in great shape. Pipes could probably be replaced at some point if I keep it. It even has the OEM lock tucked in the side of the bike (never saw that before). OEM fuse box is still there and in tact, even with the little plastic snap cover.

So, I picked this all up, with a cover, for $200. Pics soon, it's still in the trailer out in the driveway as I type this.
