Been a couple of years since the last time I was on here. Still have my 1981 Seca 750, and yes it is still a project bike. Had it running pretty good at one time, then life and a few disasters got in the way. I am now able to devote a little of my time to rebuild the project into a running bike.

At the present time I have the carb bank pulled, cleaned and waiting on a carb kit.

I'm also having problems with the front brake, actually I have always had a problem with the idea of a cable/hydro hybrid. I was wondering if anyone on here got rid of the cable in the front brake. I want to just replace the cable and master cylinder with one that is mounted on the handlebar. Can anyone recommend which mc to use?

Thanks in advance, and it is good to see you all still on here.

Check with chacal (XJ4Ever) you need one from a dual-disc Seca; probably the 650 Seca, maybe the 900. The Maxim master cylinders were angled rather sharply to work properly with the stock "buckhorn" bars on the Max's.

    And welcome back.
