    Hey all,

Looks like we have a fellow XJer who needs some tuning this weekend. I'm happy to help. Anyone else interested in getting their bike tuned up?

Location South Jersey (Audubon) 2 miles from the Walt Whitman Bridge out of Philadelphia.

I have carb sticks, a colortune, an aux fuel tank, a lift, parts washer, welding equipment and just about anything else that might be needed. We could even do a little powder coating if anyone is interested.

I'm having some windows and a door installed on my house so I have to be there all day anyway. Might as well do something useful with the time.

I know it's short notice, but I thought I would offer.

I'd love to be there, but I live in NC. Just a bit to far away. I'd like to see a get together like this in NC sometime.

Damn! I am having a BMW Tech Day in Northern VA on Saturday or I would be there.

Any chance of another in the future?

I would really love to get mine set up right, and learn how to do it myself.

    Back when I was a kid ...

The only good reason for going to the 4th of July Parade was to check-out the short skirts and legs on them:

"Audubon Bon-Bon's" ... as that all-girl's Drum and Bugle Corps went marching by!

    I'm sorry ... I got distracted ... I'm better now!

I'm up for this sort of thing just about anytime. I can never get anybody to come. I'm more or less ready to give up. If you ever want to come up and tune, just let me know. I even have experience with turbos, so I can probably help out a lot. I realize it's a haul for you. Just let me know if you ever want to make the trip. We could certainly throw in some nice riding as well.

If you want to go sometime after mid-August, I am up for it.

I have a few rallies and long rides between now and then, and I have to get the Turbo at least rideable before I take off for a 500 mile trip. It starts and runs, but now wont stay running without the choke, and it is smoking, which I take to mean gas/oil in the exhaust. So I need to change the oil, and clean the carbs and wastegate.

Fortunately I have other bikes to ride.

Still, I am definitely interested, and indebted, if we could get together.

Well, you know what "they" say, "Ya snooze ya lose." I just now saw this but even if I had a bike to tune I was already committed to other things today. However, be aware that I have a daughter who lives in Philly and I take any excuse to go up and visit her. I think you've just given me a good one once that bike shows up.
While I'm changing the subject, that not running '85 700 on ebay that I asked for input on went for $695!!!!! Who'da thunk it!.
Test rode a '96 Seca today with only 6K miles on it and in excellent shape though it did have an aftermarket exhaust. Very nice bike but I think for an old fart like me I need something less high-rev. After 30 mins my hands were starting to go slightly tingly numb. But at least I got to ride!
Thanks for the carb clinic offer and hope to have good reason to come attend soon.
    -Mark
