I know I have seen some instructions on how to include photos in posts but I can seem to find it. Anyone point me in the right direction. Why cant you just add them as attachments.

Look at the middle of page where you are writing your post. It will say add attachment.

Yer. I get how to add attachments and have tried to add photos this way but you get the file to big problem. I have seen talk of something called Photo bucket and linking you post to that. What is the maximum size ?

register with photobucket & upload your photos to photobucket.....& then you link here to your photo at photobucket...no size limitations because you are linking to offsite URL.......

I've used Photobucket also and find it easy to use. However, it offers several ways to link the picture, three of which don't work here. I never write down the correct link and so each time I end up using trial and error until I find the one that does. One day I'll take the time to actually remember it.

no qualms with photobucket. But if you want to attach a photo to your post directly, just resize it to less than 500x500 pixels and then attach it using the buttons under the "Add an Attachment" section of the post screen; and remember that if you're posting multiple photos, the LAST photo you post is displayed FIRST (i.e., reverse the order)

Just use photobucket and use the IMG tag :)
