Quick question. I'm installing intake manifold gaskets on my 81 Seca 750. The gaskets are new OEM. Do the gaskets go on dry or do I put some kind of sealant on them?

some high temp spray gasket on one side would be good but the rtv type I would not use.

I spray both sides of the gaskets with Permatex copper 80697. Let it dry before installing.
It's extra insurance against minor imperfections causing vacuum leaks.

I have used high temp gold rtv on the intake manifold side due to small cracks on my Xj750rl ones.

I use that stuff on automotive exhaust systems all the time. Helps insure that the joints stay sealed.
