    1982 XJ650R Seca, 17K (indicated) miles, decent shape, stock - my 2nd Seca 650
Needs a few things: Tach seals (I'll upgrade to electronic), clear the hazy headlight, upgrade shifter linkage and replace front peg rubber, re-contour or replace seat (shoddy reupholstering job from PO); I would love to bring it up to Seca #1's specs
    Me:
Old guy (61), riding since 18 - after 20-year hiatus, back in the saddle :D
    My story:
When my son was a toddler (20 years ago), while riding my 1st Seca 650 to work, I was stuck from behind by a hit-and-run driver (never caught) near downtown Seattle; no witnesses (5:30am), except for the kind soul who stopped to see if I was okay (I needed some mending). My bike was totaled by insurance (irreplaceable parts had been damaged) and I said bye-bye to riding so I could focus on my young family. I missed my Seca most every day. I had purchased it new in 1986* as physical/mental therapy to mend a crushed arm (from a bad work accident), built it up for WMRRA Baby Dinos racing - transformed it into a surprisingly-competent ride, while preserving its good looks, and enjoyed the heck out of it.
Fast forward to 2015: My 22-year-old son had been pining for a motorcycle for years; I found a '78 SR500 project that we built up into a nice street tracker with the help of a friend - "Dad, you need to get a bike so we can go riding together" - I love that kid. So, of course, I had to get a bike - right? I found a Seca 650 in Everett that looked right for a fair price, and brought it home to Ellensburg. While I waited for my M/C endorsement to be reactivated, my son kept it exercised (rode to college daily) while he finished his SR.
Now that bikes are ready, winter is fast closing in on us, but we are undaunted - Father and Son riding - dream come true. We can talk about once our teeth stop chattering ;).

Welcome aboard. Looks like she's all there including the add on reflectors. Nice bike.

Very nice , I hope you can enjoy the heck out of it.
... Also if you want to ride year round maybe consider a windjammer for the winter months.
