What with (some) of these bikes having cable activated front master cylinders, I'm wondering if anybody has ever tried running old-style inverted levers on one. The conversion I'm doing is pretty retro-tek, seems like they would fit the look really well.

The remote cable activated master was only available on the 750 seca. The inverted lever setup should work well with it. It will really help clean up the looks of the handlebars.

Yup, that was the idea. Simple aluminum mx throttle, black diamond texture grips, chrome reverse levers and bars, minimized / relocated electronics.

Just make sure the master is fresh, and the cable operation is mooth.

I want a good pic when you are done.
