    Hi Guys

I've never seen a spec on how hight the enrichment valves need to be lifted to be effective. Is there such a thing? How does the cable adjustment get made?

    Thanks
    Pat

They're limited in how far they can come up by their caps and springs. The cable should allow them to close all the way. If they're open at all they'll let extra fuel through.

Take one off and look at how it works inside its passage. It gradually "uncovers" a sizeable opening which is primarily round, so it's not a very gradual opening process. Once the hole is fully uncovered, additional "lift" wouldn't do anything anyway. What's important is their ability to close completely, which is why the cable/mechanism needs to have plenty of slack at "rest."
