Greeting XJ'ers! I've currently got my carbs completely torn apart, and needed to replace a couple of the jet needles. The used MC shop in Indy had no good 650 carb needles, but did have a good set of 750 carb needles (Y-13) that I bought. The needle/emulsion tubes are the same for the Hitachi carbs right? I'm also installing 112 jets (vs the orig 110), and plan to get a new MAC 4-2 exhaust to replace the old stock exhaust (one of the pipes is now badly rustted from overheating). I now have access to some Y-10's and am wondering if the Y-13's will be too much, since I'm already upping the jets a notch? Or...would it perhaps be better to use the Y-13's, but keep the 110 main jets? How much of a difference are the range of Y-# needles? I still have the stock air box; though I seem to recall it having an aftermarket air cleaner; don't remember as I haven't ridden it in almost two years, and have worked some on my dad's 750RJ in the meantime.
    Thanks!

The emulsion tubes (or "Main Nozzle", in Hitachi-speak) are the same between XJ650/750 carbs.......
