I am thinking of taking the leap to pod filters. I wanted to know the pros and cons of pods. Also if there is really a differance between K&n and the no name filters. Then last I what rejet kit would I need and is there potential to burn up my engine faster using pods.

Great question! I got the EMGO filters too (just because they were the cheapest) and haven't had any "problems" per se'. They really provide little-to-almost-no actual flitering though. I've thought about stuffing them with some foam or something to beef them up and slow down the air flow a little but haven't gotten around to it. I'd really like to get a set of UNI or K&N's on there eventually because I think they look better and filter better.

Noone can really give you a definitive answer on rejetting because every bike is a little different but Chacal has a great write-up on determining a starting point based on your mods. It's buried in the parts catalog and pasted in probably 50 different re-jetting threads on here.. should be pretty easy to find if you do some searches.

There's also a company called Dynojet that sells kits on ebay and I've heard they're pretty good about gathering your mod info and setting you up.

I got mine from Jetsrus.com they were suuuper cheap and good to work with too.

Pods won't burn up and ruin your engine but they could cause it to run lean and that will cause problems if you don't rejet.
