laquar spraying tank

    any tips on spray can laquaring tank maybe acold weather issue -1 degrees at the moment but followed advice on can, seems to be a bit runny in places any advice on this guys??might have been easy on a flat surface but as we all no tank is all curves. any thoughts guys,would be mutch appreciated

    Could be just too cold, I'd try to get somewhere warm (at least 15c) to re-do it. That said, I have had good results by keeping the paint warm indoors till immediately before use & heating (gently) the part to be sprayed with a hairdryer..

    Don't get things too warm though otherwise the paint skins over before the solvent "flashes off" and causes pin-holing "solvent popping" or "fish eyes"

    +1 on the + 15 !!

    You can't expect paint to flow-out right when it's too cold OR too hot.
