yesterday went for a decent ride,120km's,when i got home i left the key on and to the best of my knowledge the only light on was the green nuetral light. it would have been on for 4 or 5 hours, surely this couldnt drain the battery or are there other explainations ? i ride the bike everyday so the batt should have been fully charged.

having the tci powered will drain the battery, and the light helps as well. check the water levels and charge it back up, see if it goes dead again.

I have done the same thing. I think my neutral sw is iffy. Sometimes that green light will be off regardeless and I have to clutch it to crank up. Easy to leave the sw on when the short term memory is slipping.

Do certain models NOT turn on the head light with the key (non running)? Or did you install headlight switches?

I drained mine shortly after buying it by putting it in "Parking Light" mode instead of just locking the wheel.

I still don't quite understand the concept of "parking" your motorcycle in Europe with the lights running indefinitely (especially before the invention of LEDs).

Mine does not turn the headlight on until it starts. It stays on until the key is turned off.

Ya mine doesnt start until it turns over really. Its like it has a system that attempts to use most energy for the initial start.
