Ok everyone i am gonna buy a new trailer to haul my bikes. think i am going to get a 5x10 drop gate wood floor utility that way i can use it for other things also. I think i can get 2 on it might have to stagger them just a little so the handlebars do not hit. Anyone have a 5x8 or longer trailer set up for 2 bikes. I really do not want to go any wider because on occasion i will be towing it with my 06 gto. Power is no problem but pontiac says do not tow with it at all but Holdens tow 3500 lbs same car. I am not worried that the springs will be to soft it has a 5k performance handling suspension it rides pretty harsh.

I have a 5x8 that I haul two bikes on. I lenghtened the toung 2 feet and mounted a pickup toolbox on the front of the trailer to hold a jack, tie downs, ropes, and so forth. Fivet feet wide is a bit narrow but 8 feet is long enough. I would look for a 6x8.

I think 6 would better also. The reason i wanted 10 was for the tool box on the front. Most of the time it will be carrying 1 bike. But if i go on vacation for bike weeks ect would like to take both of my rds. each is less then 350 lbs and are not wide at all. I plan on installing 3 tire lock downs center for 1 bike outer 2 for carrying 2. Also wanted it a bit longer have to carry 12 foot boards in a few weeks to rebuild my 16x40 deck and other around the house projects.

Looks like you have it thought out. I agree it would be easier starting with a 10 foot if you are going to add the box. One thing to keep in mind is to have 2/3 of the weight in front of the axle, it will be much more stable that way. Believe me, that is important on the interstate when you need to do a sudden manuver.
