    Aloha(Again),
I was on briefly a bit back, but life got totally hectic. These have to be one of the most frustrating bikes to work on/resurrect from neglect. I picked up an 81' Maxim from a guy in the paper for $200. It was in a bit worse shape than he(or I) thought. It seemed the more work I did on the bike, the more I needed to do. Well cold whether came and I had it covered in the lot; and some yokel stole my darned cover. I'm lucky that's all he stole, but it was about the final straw at that point.
I have since talked to my uncle , gained access to his garage, tools, and knowledge. I am going to have her ready to ride this summer if it kills me(even if its around the block as opposed to cross country).

Hey Marko, if an old newbie like me can do it, should be cake for you. Welcome to the forum and good luck with your bike. They are pretty easy as mechanical things go. Other than the engine, perhaps a 4 or 5 out of 10 on the Difficulty Scale? With Rick and the guys here, it becomes even easier.

The difference will be in giving yourself the time to do the job - whatever you think, double it and get the details right - you'll be fine and you'll have a great ride at a bargain price.
