Looking for a maxim 750 tank?

    I want to put the bigger tank on my 650 for more range. I get roughly 135 before I stop now but I just want to keep riding! Help a brother out. I'm really trying to do the Iron Butt Saddle Sore ride(1,000mi in 24hrs) next month and fewer fuel stops will help significantly.

    I've stripped my bike pretty bare so I may have some trades. Off hand:
    Center stand
    Original Bars
    Original seat w/ nice seat cover
    Original Mirrors
    Maybe even my small tank
    ...All types of ill sh*t...

    I have a spare in pretty good shape. Not really interested in parts you have posted, but I am trying to accumulate xj700 parts including a tank. Have anything as far as those parts?

    Hey man, unfortunately I do not have any xj700 parts. There is a nice cycle scrap yard near by though. I'll try to stop out there tomorrow and see if they have what your looking for.

    Anybody here have an extra 700 tank that might be interested in 650 parts? Maybe we could get a little swap going...!

    Trash, I stopped out at the local bike yard here. They don't have any XJs, just a couple xs and a virago. Sorry I couldn't help.

    Anyhow, I am still looking for the 750 maxim tank. Anybody else?

    there a few on e-bay right now I just got one for 130 with shipping from Canada. Red like my 650 is so I don't have to paint it either.

    yea, i seen a few on there. I'm apprehensive about buying a tank on ebay. I'd hate to spend that kind of cash and find the tank to be sub-par. I feel like I can trust my fellows here and rather keep it in the family!

    yeah I understand that, but I decided to roll the dice with E-bay. Finding one on here is tough. They get snapped up quicker than people can post they have one for sale.

    OK now I want an XJ750J (maxim) tank. All this talk about the extra gallon and being a bolt on replacement has me intrigued. Black or Red would be OK (my Maxim is Red) but hey, buy new black side covers and presto you have a black bike when you want or a red bike when you want.....pretty cool. Anyone else have a tank in GOOD shape they want to sell??
