anyone out there have a right hand control casing for a 1982 xj750 seca. The mount for the mirror thread has been stripped so I just need the top section of the mount.

I'll check my shed and get back to you. I know I didn't sell it, but I'd better check the threads for you.

Googled "left hand thread inserts" and several sources came up both here in Canada and south of the border. Ack____Grain____ was one. Didn't spell it entirely so if you don't know to whom I am referring, PM me.

so seeing as it is only a mirror i am going to try something i just discovered online as a fix if it doesnt work then ill look for a helicoil.
you take a brazen rod and melt it in the hole after drilling it out slightly then place heated bolt in and let it cool then back it out slowly creating new threads.
