    Hi - I want to re-paint my 82 Seca 550 but I'm missing the right sidecover (over the battery) and have tried looking everywhere to find one (eBay, web, and many, many boneyards across north America). Can any one out there help me? :cry:

    No $hit, eh? Countless left sidecovers on eBay but not a single one for the right... I'm pretty sure I saw a Seca in Ottawa or Mtl being parted but it mighta been a 750. I'll see if I can find it again.

    Yeah, sorry about that. There's a Seca 650 Turbo being parted out in Ottawa and a 750 in Mtl. Both on Kijiji.

    Wow....thanks for the heads up Maximum X, I've been looking for about 2 months on eBay, was about to give up....I'll know in 6 days if I win, not sure how high I'll be willing to go though....

    Hey Fornica........well, you know the rest!

    Anyway, I have a couple of good used right side covers for your Seca, one from a 1981 model (white) and the other from a 1983 (black), both are in good shape but have edge splits in them and would have to be repaired (which won't be that hard to do while you're stripping them for re-paint). The white one still has the emblem on it. Let me know if you're interested.

    Hi chacal,

    Wow, sure, I'd be interested ! - :D Ironically, I will be doing the same split repair on the left cover I already have. How much would you want for the one with the logo, and where are you located ?

    My 550's an '82, and its red, but I'm changing color to something else - maybe even chameleon paint to match my Vmax - not sure yet.

    OOPS - my misunderstanding - Sorry - I got your message, thanks for all the info. I do have Paypal, but have never used it, but am willing to do so. Only issue I have is I still have a bid on eBay for one in Michigan, that I'm committed to if I win (hopefully I'll be outbid and I can order from you as yours has the emblem). I'll know shortly, and keep you posted.

    I'd likely be interested in other items you might have - parts I need include driver foot peg rubbers, headlight chrome retaining ring (undamaged), and original horns in good working order, along with tank emblems. All are small parts, but worth getting in the same shipment if ya got 'em.
