Looking for technical write up on master cylinder rebuilds

    Is there a post for a technical write up on rebuilding a 1982 Seca XJ750RJ Master Cylinder? Could someone send me a link. Just recieved the rebuild kit. I want to dig into it ASAP. I saw the one for the XJ650 but nothing for my model. Thanks.

    I have one of those MityVac brake bleeding systems. I read that you are suppose to bench bleed the master cylinder before reinstalling it. Are they talking automotive MC's only or motorcycle master cylnders. Any idea what size the output port of the 1982 Seca 750 MC is? If I perform this bench bleed I need to plug the output port some how.

    Maybe the automotive ones, because I sure as hell didn't do it on my 750J before bolting the thing back on. Just bolt everything together, fill the reservoir, hook up the bleeder, and crack the valve open. When you get a steady stream of fluid (should take a second or three), close the valve, refill the reservoir, and move to the other caliper. Lather, rinse, repeat.
