Need new tires for an XJ650RJ current setup:
    Front wheel 1.85 x 19 tire 110/90 x 19
    Rear Wheel 2.15 x 18 tire 130/90 x 18

I'm not sure if these are stock size tires or not, any recommendations on tire sizes and brand would be appreciated. I would like to keep the rear as wide as possible.
    Thanks for any input.

Currently looking at the Dunlop 404, but they don't make a 130/90 x 18 for the rear. I would like to go with the same front and rear. Anyone use the Shinko 230 tour tire? Seem to be very inexpensive, not sure if that means they are cheap, seem to have great reviews.

Those are the stock sizes. The rear is aready as wide as possible. Shinko makes great tires (they started making bicycle tires shortly after WW2, and bought Yokohama's motorcycle tire division in the late 90's).
I'm planning on getting the Shinko 230 Tour Master for the rear this coming spring. Previously I've had the Contnental Conti-Go (still running the front at 4,000 miles, and has another 4,000 in it; the rear was done at 3,000 miles), and a Kenda Challenger on the rear (lasted less than the Conti, but to be fair it was a front tire that I ran on the rear due to a lack of choices when the Conti wore out). I tour during the sumer, and live in the flattest part of the country, so you may have better longevity than I did.

My best advice is to check out the new batch of tires that have come out in the past two years which are meant for classic (70's and 80's) motorcycles. There are a lot of improvements in tread compounding that never used to be available in the sizes that we need. Thankfully the demand has increased.

One correction. the stock rear width is 120mm. 130mm is as wide as you can go, but you do need to pay attention to the sidewall profile in order to do so without rubbing on the swingarm.

That's what I thought. The previous owner has the 130/90 mounted it seems to work fine, but that setup is harder to find, in that size. Although Shinko does have both those sizes.

That depends on which model XJ you have. The wheel sizes vary somewhat across the family.

I think you mean Shinko tires. They make several models of tire which come in sizes that will fit all models of XJ.

    Front: 3.25 H 19 (100/90-16 in metric)
    Rear: 130/90-16
    Both are tubeless.

For future reference; you can find the tire size on the sidewall of your existing tires.

Mine were still in inches and I was hunting the metric conversion.
