Riding home from work on a rural road when I hear the exhaust noise suddenly grow louder. Pulled over and inspected the bike and found that the baffle from the right muffler bailed out. I turned around and searched the area where I think it came out and couldn't find it anywhere. So I need to find a replacement baffle...Any idea where I can find one? I bought the pair of mufflers from a fellow xj'r here on the forum. I think They're Jardine Balone cuts. They don't make them any more, but maybe the baffle is still available. Here's a pic of what I got.

Worst case is you have a sample and a good metal work shop should be able to make one.

look around the pipe and drain section of the local home depot/menards/lowes and use your imagination. Not hard to replicate.

I would make another search of the area and try to find it. Bring some friends along, more eyes are better.

Or find a replacement baffle that has the right outer diameter, and cut/weld to fit. That's what I had to do because my PO cut inner cross tube to make the bike LOUD.

Although those particular mufflers aren't a current product, Jardine are still very much in business; have you tried contacting them? http://www.jardineproducts.com/

Yeah Bigfitz, I called Jardine and talked to a nice gal. She said she'd do her best to find it for me. However, I haven't heard back from her yet. Fingers crossed. I do still have the mac 4 into 1. I might put it on to get me by, but I hate the way it runs and handles with the mac. I'm also going to stop by a metal worker friends place on the way home. Maybe he can make me a new one.

I was really hoping another xj'r had replaced their jardines with a 4-1 and had my part sitting in a junk pile....Go fish!
