This is kind of strange. I went out and fired up my 1100 and the
LCD display went down and did all the checks. The Brake stayed on and the red light was flashing so I canceled it and went for a short ride. The brake light came back on. So I took the cap off of the master cylinder and the float was up to the top? I picked it up and looked at it and I was thinking there should be something to hold this in place. I looked down inside for an e ring or something and there is nothing down in the bottom.
Does anyone know what is supposed to hold that on. There is a groove in the post it sits on like something should be there.

HCP905 Aftermarket front master cylinder fluid level sensor retaining E-CLIP, black-phosphate coated spring steel as original. This is the small clip that retains the float, at the very top of the shaft. For all XJ650 Turbo, XJ750 Seca, XJ750 Euro, 1982 XJ750 Maxim, XJ750-D, XJ750P (24L and 37H) models, and XJ1100 front and rear master cylinders.

That is so strange it should be sitting down in the bottom and there is nothing in there.
Well I guess on my next order I'll have to add one of those in.
    Thanks chacal
