    Hi,
After much searching and a few mentions here and there I figured I just ask outright.

Has anyone found a brake fluid(glycol based) friendly paint?

I saw Bigfitz mentioning duplicolor caliper paint as not holding up and i have personally tried POR15 black and KBS diamond coat which both last a lot longer, than normal arcrylic or enamel rattle can paint, but still peel up after a few short months.

Any info on experiences on brake fluid resistant paint would be good.

    Thanks!

Gunkote is completely brake fluid proof but the part must be surgically clean and then baked.

In regards to POR15 did you do the full 3 step process and apply one of their top coats? Did you strip the MC to the bare metal? POR15 isn't meant to be used over paint for full protection/adhesion.

I have the POR15 silver and Chassis Black paints that I intend to use for MC, Caliper, Valve Cover and a few other spots. FYI: POR15 alone is not UV stable. They claim it will discolor over time.

Also how much fluid are you leaking/seeping that it is peeling off the paint? Maybe fix that first?

    Thanks for the replies,
I wet-blasted it back to bare alloy, then applied adhesion promoter, then rust seal and then diamond-coat clear.
It lasted for a lot longer than just the rust-seal but now it has just started to come away around the top lip again.
The thing is, it looks dry but there must be some seepage around that lip which is making it lift away from the alloy.
I put a lot of time into prep and a bunch of base and top coats as my other master cylinder just got a POR-15 black treatment which looked great till the sun got to it and then worse when a bit of fluid got on it.

That gun-cote sounds hard core but it would be nice to just have something that comes out of a can and brake fluid wont touch... asking the impossible maybe.
