Careful, I bought a rebuild kit for an 82 750 and recieved the wrong thing. On a whim I went to the local Yamaha shop and they were able to get one in 3 days.

Meant to say that I bought the rebuild kit from Old Bike Barn. They sent me the wrong kit and Yamaha was able to get the right kit for me. Oh and it was cheaper!

Got mine today from Carb Kit Capital
EDIT:Turns out Rebuild kit came from
    CyclePartsDirect Ebay Store
(They had Carb Kit Capital's webstore on the Invoice)

    $26.70 shipped

    Dealer was $ 36.43 + tax = $39.44

Edit: Just finished installing it after honing out the cylinder with a 3/8" dowel rod wrapped with some 1000grit wet or dry(Nice Tip RickCoMatic), honed up real nice, used an old set of Circlip pliers from Harbor Freight for the R & R of that clip.

Thanks for the suggestions, dealers in my area wanted $48 to $58 for a rebuild kit, all of them needed to order it. I ended up disassembling the master cylinder, giving it a thorough cleaning and reinstalling. I did discover that the proper cable adjustment makes a BIG difference in bleeding the lines. I have brakes back.

Is anyone keeping track of what repair jobs and maintenance items everybody's been doing for themselves ...

We need a list for "Merit Badges" ... or, maybe just "Refrigerator Stars" ... but, some recognition for really getting into it and doing your own wrenching!

It's going to be tough to beat that deal on the XJ1100 ... unless, somebody donates a "Still-in-the-Crate" Bike to somebody.
