    Hi,

There are three white wires in a bundle coming from under the engine and then up to the wiring harness. All three wires are white and they are wrapped with what seems to be a cloth wrapping. From what I have figured out, I believe that these are from the generator and run to the regulator. On the wiring harness I have a nice modular plug. The PO had done a hack and slash so I have bare wires with no connector on the cable underneath. Does it matter which wire connects to which? They all appear to be identical.

    Thanks

No, it doesn't matter. the regulator/rectifier will hand the signal from them whichever way you wire the three and magically turn it into 12v DC.
