Metzeler tire recall

    Is everyone aware of the Metzeler tire recall? If you purchased a new Metzeler rear tire in 2008 you need to check its DOT stamping number and contact your dealer to see if it qualifies for free replacement. I just recieved a hand written notice from my dealer a few days ago. I believe the recall only effects the ME880 Marathon tires sizes 130/90 and 140/90 but check with your dealer to be sure. They will need to know the last 4 digits of you tires DOT number.
    Since it is winter, if your tire falls within the recall production dates Metzeler will arrange for free pick up and delivery of your bike.
