My feeling about the Midnight Maxim ... after restoring one that spent a few New England Winters -- outside, under a Pine Tree ... isn't going to be very Popular with the Mid-Max Owners.

I think the whole Midnight Maxim run of Production was a way for Yamaha to get a few more Bikes out-the-door that might not have made it out-the-door unless the Cases and some other parts got Painted Black.

When I stripped my Mid-Max to make it "Not Black" ... I found a few scratches in Mufflers that got Powder Coated Black over Chrome. Imperfect Cases and Covers that needed refinishing to look nice as a Non-painted Part.

If the Gold Plating is in good shape and it does run without a glitch in some system ... you can turn a Low-Miles Bike into a Fun Machine.

    Where's the Side Covers?
I hope it comes with Side Covers.
"Cause them babies is hard to find!

ya, something you could mod pretty good, not care if it breaks, part it out, and get your money back.... maybe, or could restore and be a really nice bike.... whatever
