Hey looking for either a set (4 ) of mikuni carbs for my 1985 maxim xj 750x or an individual carb. One pilot jet down in the hole is stripped and not coming out at all. Please contact me with anything you have to offer.

Are the threads in the hole stripped, or just the slot in the jet? If the latter, it may be possible to drill it and use an easy-out. When I bought my 900, I know the PO had done just that because I found the easy-out with the jet still stuck to the end of it in the tool pouch.

That being said, they had also botched a carb body in some way (no way to know if it was the one they extracted the jet from but probably was) and replaced it with the wrong one. (as well as replacing all the jets with the wrong ones) They had tried to swap in a 36 body instead of a 35. No Bueno. When I had to hunt down the correct replacement, I found they are all slightly different, so if you manage to find a single, you'll need to verify which one. I assume it's the same situation with the X as it is with the 900.
