modified fuel tank??

    Has anyone here modified there fuel tank?? I have a spare that needs some work anyway, so i was thinking about a guy I saw on T.V that moved his filler to the very top of the tank and his tap to the bottom corner, to increase the amount of useable space, I would also add a low fuel light due to the loss of the reserve function, anyway just a thought let me know what you think and if you know what might work for a low fuel light?
