I'm interested in adding modulators to both head and tail lights. Is this an easy thing to do for someone with very little experience? I'd hate to find out that I'd turn my Maxim into a Christmas tree of randomly blinking lights.

It's very easy to do. Plug-n-play. XJ4Ever offers a few different options, depending on your bike. Check with chacal. I'm running a headlight modulator and I feel it makes a big difference; drivers seem to "catch" themselves more often rather than pull out. Irritating as all get out, I'm sure, but hey they can see me.

Thanks, Fitz. I'd at least like to hit the tail with one. Is it an expensive venture?

Not at all. Talk to chacal. There are a couple of different ways to accomplish the rear; a discrete modulator or bulb-base units.
