heres one for the guru's. i just installed a fuse box cause po removed it for unknown reasons. after installing it, the ignition switch has become ineffective. as in wether its on or off i can start the bike and evertying like lights and signals work. only way to get the bike to turn off is kill switch or main fuse. my bike is an mk model according to clymer's wiring diagram. wish i had my dmm at the house but its at work. bike will start in any key switch postition. everything works but wont shut off, anyone have a clue?

Assuming it didn't do this before installing the fuse panel...
Go back thru all your connections and make sure all the colors EXACTLY MATCH. There are a few similar colored wires with tracer (colored) strips on them. Its only 4 fused on MY ride, so it shouldn't take that long to check.

Beyond that wait for others to reply.

Red, Red White, Red Yellow, Tan is what my ride has.

    clean set up metel bob.

im runnin four as well, i have double and triple checked my colors. your right they can be tricky to tell apart if your not being careful like the red yellow and red white wires. ill look again thanks. no it didnt do this before which has me thinking its someting i did. all the wires were just connected to one another without fuses. mabye the po knew about this and thats the only way he could get everyting to work. hmmm

actually looking at your fuse panel i think i figured it out, my panel has individual inlets for the fuses to recive there power into each individual fuse but only one common ground for the other ground wires. wish i could show you what i mean but i got no camera

quick question for you, i noticed you have a rubber fitting at the intake opening, does that serve an important purpose? cause i dont have one

This is most likely your problem; there should be no "common" between any of them. You're feeding battery "hot" to the whole system all the time is what's apparently happening.

I have no idea if they rubber inlet boot is needed for smooth running.

Check my DIY electrical post for my in process pics of my fuse panel install. Time and weather permitting, it was not that hard to make it clean looking.

If I did it again (hope I never have to), I would have had all vinyl tube and none of the spiral wrap I used. (But I hadn't found the tubing at the stores yet).

Nothing wrong with inline fuses (just not as clean of an install).

If you can't find any locally, order from Chacal on here (just pm him your needs).
