It's not quit done but it is ready to ride. Nevermind the white decal taped to the side of the tank, just trying to find the right placement for it.

Nice Job for Sure! Keep up the good work, never know what that kind of a job might lead to one day! grunt007, 81' Yamaha 750 Seca, Mi.

Thanks grunt. I have been working on cars and bikes my whole life but this was my first bobber. I think it came out great. I also plan on powder coating the frame and repainting the tins next winter.

Hey Buddy, sure sounds to me like you are headed the right direction for sure. I still have mine setting in the shop waiting for me to get started. problem is I have about four other machines and two cars I have to bring up to date first. I thought by now that I would have had mine ready to go riding but as life go's I am sort of stuck in the mud puddle again. Some things never change to say the least. On the flip side ever time I come into this site and see what you other guys are doing with your bikes it sure inspires me once again to get back on re-doing my own machine. One of these days I will get there (I think!)
Either way guys like yourself do give me inspiration to stay on target with mine even though other people and problems seem to always take president. To top everything else off I am a member in a number of Veteran orghanizations and today these Chapters all over seem to be dieing on the vine so lately I have been trying to help some of them out also. grunt007, 81' 750 Seca, Mi. I envy you guys to say the least.

Could you give some more details on the seat mod? I'd appreciate it

My solo seat is from TC Brothers. All I did to mount it was use a quarter inch steel plate and drill some hole in it to mount to the bottom of the seat and to mount it where the tank bolts to also.

    Hey mooch,

Would it be too much to ask for some close-up shots of the seat. I am wanting to buy that same seat, but I wanted to see how to mount it before I paid for it all.
