I just bought a new Maxim 750, and I was searching the forums here to see how much oil to put in it so that I know when I change it and go to the store and buy i. Also if my Maxim 750 has a center oil drain plug?

    Thanks

    Dry 3.6l (7.6 US pint)
Oil and fliter 2.95l (6.2 US pint)
Oil change 2.65l (5.6 US pint)

Put bike on centre stand, do not put all oil in yet, see the level in the sight glass on the side of clutch cover? As you fill the oil watch as this rises and just put enough in to just get to the top mark on the glass.

There is a drain plug at the back by the rubber seal for the drive shaft. I'll try and get a picture of it in the morning. The main plug is at the front of the motor. Oil is alos in the filter cover and will spill out when you remove the cover. Don't do the filter cover up too tight, 11 ft lb.

You do have 2 drain plugs, like kiwi said, one is on the back left hand side of the motor - on the bottom of the case. the other is your standard front plug right below the filter

I was looking for an oil filter at Walmart and I saw they only had it for the XJ650/Seca I was wondering if that would work on my Maxim 750.

    Thanks

Yes. The 750 and 650 use the same oil filter. Here are the ones for you:
    Fram #6003, Parts unlimited #K150029, Emgo #1028401, K&N #KN144

To drain the oil there is a center drain bolt under the oil filter casing. Hard to see so get way down and look under with a flashlight. This is the only plug you need to use to drain the oil.
