 Hi everyone, just got my xj550 a little over a month ago. Ive allready put over 1100 miles on her!! So far all ive had to do to get her up and running after sitting since 1988? is clean and bench sync carbs and insatll a new battery and i also changed the oil. Im really happy way this bike looks and runs, oh yea forgot to mention still has the original tires with a litlle over 4200 miles on the odemeter. Got this bike off original owner who wrecked her twice in a week after getting fixed, got new forks tank and headers after last incident and he parked it in 1988, started a few times in between and last time took carbs off, took em apart and put em in a box and, it sat ever since, im glad i found this site. I LOVE IT!!!!! I do have some pictures but cant figure out how to post them, saying the file is to big and i dont know how to change it.

Load the pictures to your gallery. If the file size is too big try JPEG format, if you still have problems let us know. If you upload the pictures to a free picture upload site (search Google) you can link from there.

Take the Original tyres OFF, NOW and replace them with new tyres. Tyres do not "keep" well and while they might look OK they will be dangerous.
