I had questions from two people about my other avatar with the green person on it.

I told those folks i drop a link here, so here it is.

    http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c173/ ... mecopy.gif

It's a picture I took of myself and did some work with in Photoshop. About 3 hours work total.

If your reallllly curious I could post the original as well.

Looks rather post-Borgish. Not what I had expected (resolution on our avatars leaves much to be desired but hides a multitude of sins). Next question is why would you turn an image of yourself into hamburger helper?

It had been a very loooong day at work and I felt rather "zombie-esque" when I got home.

Thus, I made myself into a zombie. Inspiration finds all roads of travel.

I'll give him a lookup Robert, thanks :D

Just so people don't go thinking I'm some kind of wierdo, here's another picture I did as well. I'm not all about the grotesque or morbid, it's all about the inspiration.

It's me again, made this one for an ex girlfriend.

Hardly morbid, quite vivid if you ask me! I'm very interested in seeing more of your work. You've wet the appetite, and I'm interested in seeing what kinds of art you would put on a bike.

    I'm a complete sucker for 40's-50's pin-up art.

I absolurely worship Al Moore and Varga's work.

Ideally I'd like to do a theme on my bike, like those chopper shows on cable.

Paint the fairing red like the nose of an old russian Spitfire, do the whole bike in a soft camo green and airbrush a redhead pinup girl on the side wearing a cossak, a large fur coat draped across her shoulders and a wink in her eye. The words "privyet, comrade!" next to her in italic cursive script.

I'd airbrush rivets across the tank as well, all sorts of little details. The windshield on the fairing would have metal ribbing to give it the look of a WWII figther as well.

    Just an idea...

Ok out comes the pilot in me; there is no Russian Spitfire. It is actually the Yak 9. Could have also been the Yak 7 but the 9 saw more service. Here is a pic. It is one of my favorite WWII aircraft.

Thanks for the correction! I was trying to think of what kind of plane it was and spitfire was the first thing that popped into my head.

That indeed was the plane I was referring to.

I'm a Vargas fan as well, seems your tastes run parallel to my own. Pinup art is just classic (but get my wife to understand that). I'm also a huge WWII aircraft fan, Yaks are sweet little rides, rough but tough, in keeping with Russian aircraft design of the era. Let's not forget the I-16, what a tank! Typically white with red trim, sort of like the Doolittle BeeGee.

Doing the white trim along the sides would be a nice touch, especially on the tail section.

I'm going to try and get a few pics of the fiberglass section I have planned for my rear area posted asap. I wont be doing the glass work until next weekend but I've got the drawings and a small model of what it'll look like.
