my xj 650 uk bike gearbox thing

    my xj gear box A.jpg my xj gear box B.jpg hello all
    was searching under the bike to day looking for the small nuteral sensor and i found this under the rear of the gear box steel say 8/9 mm in size has it moved out from in side the gear box to the rear at side stand bracket cant turn the photo 45 deg so you can see it better any ideas

    That one runs to the oil level sensor (I think, though it should have a black trace).
    The neutral switch wire is sky blue (unless a PO had to splice in new wire and only had red).

    not the red wire i used it to point to the pin the flash form my phone made it hard to see
