I've posted awhile back and someone stepped up to say that they were willing to show up and help. My previous posts have been lost and I could use that help If anyone else wants to make a buck or two.

My bike is an electrical mess and I need a little guidance. From what I gather from the tech write-up posted here (thanks by the way), It must be a bad ignition, kill switch, bad wire somewhere, or the kickstand bypass. I'm not sure if the relays matter but some are looking pretty bad.

Here's what happened: After having other electrical issues and going through a move, the bike sat for about three weeks. after changing the fuse, blade style, it started up and i went for a cruise to the gas station. The bike died on the way and I had to push start. Bike started ok after I filled up and returned home. Tried to start it up later that day after a charge and nothing. The bike doesn't kick at all when i push the ignition.

What I've done: check the fuses and wire connections look good but it's messy and taken the Button control apart and checked contacted and added WD40. I don't have a volt reader (I know I should get one, on my list but anyway). Headlight doesn't work now but that's after the fact. My wiring projects usually involve wire tape and twist caps, pretty sure that's wrong.

I'm not looking to take advantage of anyone but I don't have much to spend. I can trade a number of other services just not electrical. I also have parts (stripped the whole exterior off my bike) construction labor, tools, beer. Just get it started and point me toward better electrical health for my bike.

Please help electrical guru in San Diego.

    Thanks.

Whatever happens get a multimeter. They really are cheap. I think you have a fuse/fusebox issue. Give us some more history on it. What does the PO say...if anything.

Agree on the point of the multimeter. Electrical wasn't discussed with PO but I see the tube fuses have been replace with blade fuses.
