I have a 83 xj650 that I have hardtailed and added a 8 inch raise handle bar .. so I need to add some length to the throttle and possibly the clutch cables... anyone know where these can be bought in a variety of lengths so I can order them asap?? I will also need some new grips for the bars as well.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

You can get a cable cheap from a BICYCLE shop, I make the ends from a piece of smooth bolt shank of the right dia', lead won't last.

I've always modded my own cables for my various two stroke multi cylinder bikes and they have 1 into (three + 1) for the oil pump but you can find plenty of cable companies that will build you a custom cable and they aren't that expensive. Sometimes, home made hacks aren't the best thing....go ahead, ask me how I know this?<LOL>

BTW- nice looking bike, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like bobbers so that's a REAL compliment!

If you take your current cables down to you local dealership they can get an aftermarket company to make some for you.
