    Just picked up my second seca and this bad boy has starting issues…. I can push start it just fine and it works great like that. I can give you guys some videos of it trying to start… sounds like the starter is just turning free… you just hear the turning of an electric motor without resistance… not connecting with the motor at all.
    anyways, so which way do I go from here. send a video of it?, buy a starter clutch kit and start taking out the engine?
    btw Im new to the forum, whats up guys
    let me know!
    thanks,
    -JOE

    Aloha !!

    There's been an awful lot of starter clutch problems-posts lately !

    Let's hope yours is just "gummed-up" - - you need to blast solvents directly into the workings to hopefully free-up the rollers/springs.

    What kind of oil are you running - full synthetics and modern,thin oils can cause starter-clutch problems.

    Next, the starter-clutch body COULD be cracked/shattered.

    Do a forum search on the subject.

    Splitting the cases to replace the starter clutch is the last resort; there are a whole list of things to eliminate first.
