Need number two carb

    I have a 1983 XJ550. Number two carb has a broken float pin post. I would rather find another carb than do a funky repair on this one. Is there any other carb set that will work, or am i looking for a needle in the haystack?

    No, you're looking for a rack of Mikuni BS28's off either a 550 Seca or a 550 Maxim.

    A little eBay lurking should net you a solid rack (good enough for parts anyway) for less than $50.

    I think if you were to check eBay right now you'd find AT LEAST two sets. The only difference is pilot jet and needle between the Seca and Max.

    I saw that. #2, and #3. I took another look, and it was #3 i needed. Looking from the wrong end. I think this one is mine.
