craftsman makes a tool set for metric bikes that go for about 20 bucks on ebay, I think those are much better than the stock set, hoever, they give you alot of stuff... you may want to take what you want and put it in a ziplock bag or something...

I wondered about the tool kit. If something breaks, where does the replacement part come from when you are out on the road? Keepping the tools with the bike so you don't loose the tools is a great idea. I leave my tool kit at home. After all the instantstart in the past, the kit just got in the way.

You need Tools for jobs you can do that will get you back in action if something ... SIMPLE ... needs fixing.
    A loose mirror.
    Replacing a Bulb.
    Changing a Spark Plug.
Replacing a Throttle or Clutch Cable.

The "Tool Kits" supplied with the Bikes aren't anything to write home about.
    Purist keep them.

A good thing to do is Update the Bikes Tool Kit with Tools from your Shop set and replace what you Updated on the Bike with NEW Tools for your Box.

You can even add an all-purpose Tool, like a "LeatherMan" Tool or a "Dial-a-Socket" and be ready to help a fellow Biker who
you find at the side of the road with nothing but a cigarette lighter.
