Need XJ550 ignition coil

    My coil for cylinders 2&3 is cracked and all messed up. I need a replacement coil. Thanks...

    Have you tryed testing the OHM's of the coil yet. If it tests ok, all you need to do is seal it. Mine are all full of cracks but it is an inherent problem on my model apperently. I sealed it and have not had a problem out of it yet. Been over a year.

    it's dead...hence the phrase "all messed up". I am not getting good readings on the coil.

    I have 2 coils. One is good, the other I took off my xj550 last summer, not workin right. Will sell both for 20 bucks + shipping. If interested, e-mail me @ wood_@verizon.net

    which one is good. Is it a cylinder 1 & 4 coil or a 2 & 3 coil?

    well....technically not, the wires are longer on the 1&4 coils as well as the primary wires are different colors.

    I'll let you know once I try to fire up the bike and see if I fixed my coil.

    ok I don't need the coil anymore, the one I rebuilt works and I got another one from a guy in town on the cheap too. :D
